What is Tepnyx?
Tepnyx builds tools for content creators and their communities: Decider, to create and run giveaways with social media requirements, and the free online wheel.
Where can I use Decider?
- Web (tepnyx.com/decider/app): create and run giveaways from a full dashboard, including entries from your Twitch or YouTube live chat.
- iOS and Android app: create giveaways, take part, follow creators, comment, get notifications and use the wheel, even offline.
The old Windows desktop app is no longer maintained; everything it did is now on the web.
Is it free?
Yes. Creating an account, creating giveaways, taking part and using the wheel are free. Premium is an optional subscription with a few extras (see below).
How do I contact support?
Email soporte@tepnyx.com or use the contact form. We usually reply within 24–48 business hours.
Account
How do I create an account?
With your email, on the web or in the app. We'll send you a code to confirm it.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes: you must be at least 13 years old. If your country requires an older age to use this kind of service on your own (for example, 14 in Spain), you need permission from a parent or guardian. The app asks for your date of birth once; it isn't shown on your profile or to other users. If you're under the minimum age, you can't use Decider.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot your password?” and follow the link we email you.
How do I delete my account?
From your account settings (web or app). Your profile and associated data are deleted; this can't be undone. If you have a Premium subscription from the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in the store too: deleting the account doesn't cancel it. You can also ask at soporte@tepnyx.com.
Can I block or report someone?
Yes, from their profile. A blocked account can't message or interact with you, and our team reviews reports.
Taking part in giveaways
How do I take part?
Open the giveaway from the app, the web search or the link the creator shares. If it asks for Twitch or YouTube requirements, connect those accounts (this needs a Decider account) and press “Take part”. Some giveaways only ask for a name, and others are entered by writing in the creator's live chat.
Why do I have to connect my social accounts?
So we know which Twitch or YouTube account is yours and the creator can check, when picking a winner, that you meet their requirements. We only read what that needs. You can disconnect them at any time from your account settings.
When are requirements checked?
When the winner is picked, not when you join. If you no longer meet them by then (for example, you unfollowed the channel), the creator will see it and can pick someone else. “Other requirements” the creator writes by hand can't be checked automatically: the creator reviews them.
What's the waiting list?
If a giveaway has a participant limit and is full, you can join its waiting list: when a place frees up, the next person on the list gets in.
I won — now what?
You'll get a notification, and the creator can message you privately on Decider to arrange the prize. The giveaway's creator delivers the prize, not Tepnyx.
Creating giveaways
How do I create a giveaway?
From the app or from tepnyx.com/decider/app: choose how people will take part, the requirements, the deadline and, optionally, prizes, image, description, hashtags, other requirements and a participant limit. Nothing is saved until the last step.
Which requirements can I ask for?
- Twitch: follow your channel, have followed it for a minimum time, be subscribed, be a VIP or moderator, and not have already won this giveaway.
- YouTube: be subscribed to your channel and comment (or comment with a keyword) on specific videos.
- Decider: have an account, follow you, like the giveaway, comment or mention friends.
- Live chat: in web live-chat giveaways, take part by writing in the chat, with a keyword or by role (subscriber, VIP, moderator or member).
- Other requirements: hand-written conditions you review yourself.
Requirements are fixed when the giveaway is created, so nobody already taking part sees the terms change.
Is there anything that can't be checked automatically?
Yes. If a participant's YouTube subscriptions are private, or on videos with a huge number of comments, you may need to check it yourself; Decider will tell you. YouTube member or moderator roles can only be checked in live-chat giveaways.
Can I create a giveaway without publishing it?
Yes. At the end of creating it you choose whether to publish it now or keep it hidden. A hidden giveaway doesn't show on your profile, the feed or search, and doesn't accept entries. You can publish or hide it later from its settings.
Is the result random?
Yes. The winner is picked at random among the participants who meet the requirements; neither Tepnyx nor the creator chooses who wins. You can run it live so your community can watch.
Who is responsible for the prize?
The giveaway's creator: its rules, complying with the laws that apply to them and delivering the prize. Tepnyx only provides the tool. See the terms.
Wheel
Is the wheel free?
Yes, on the web and in the app, without signing up. Unlimited options, weights, themes and sounds; in the app it even works offline.
Can I save my wheels?
Saving wheels to your account and loading them on any device is a Premium perk. Without Premium, the wheel remembers your last setup on that device.
Premium
What does Premium include?
- Priority on the waiting list of full giveaways.
- Up to 10 videos in YouTube requirements (2 without Premium).
- A custom message to announce the winner in chat.
- Saving and loading wheel setups.
- A distraction-free search screen in the app.
How do I subscribe?
On iPhone, with Apple in-app purchase; on Android, with Google Play; on the web, from the Premium page. The price is shown before you pay, in your currency for the stores. It's a monthly subscription that renews automatically.
Can I use Premium on all my devices?
Yes: Premium belongs to your Decider account, not the device. An App Store or Google Play subscription is tied to the account you bought it with and can't be used on another account.
How do I cancel?
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Decider.
- Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Web: in your account settings on tepnyx.com.
You keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Are there refunds?
App Store and Google Play purchases follow each store's refund policy and are requested there. For web payments, email soporte@tepnyx.com; consumers keep whatever withdrawal rights the law gives them.
Privacy
What data do you keep?
What the service needs: your account, what you post on Decider, your entries, the social accounts you connect and, in the app, your date of birth. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell or share your data for advertising.
How do I exercise my rights?
Email soporte@tepnyx.com with the subject “Data protection”. You can request access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection or restriction; we reply within 30 days.
