How the country wheel works

The wheel starts with all 195 countries in the world, each with its flag: the 193 UN members, Vatican City and Palestine. Press SPIN and wait for it to stop: the country the pointer touches is the one picked. They all have the same chance.

Since there are so many, a small flag sits on the rim, where the pointer touches it, and the big flag further in on the same line, so you can look for yours. As countries go, the flags grow.

Only one country survives

"Remove winner" is already on: every country that comes up is knocked out and the wheel is shared among those left. Keep spinning until only one remains, and that is the survivor. Will yours last? "Start over" brings all the countries back.

If you would rather have each spin independent, for example to pick a destination, turn off "Remove winner" in the panel and every country stays on the wheel.

Which countries are included?

The 193 UN member states, plus Vatican City and Palestine, which are observers: 195 in total. You can remove any of them and add others.

Does every country have the same chance?

Yes. The result is picked at random before the animation starts, and they all have the same chance unless you turn on weighted mode.

How do I get all the countries back?

Press "Start over" in the wheel panel.

Can I make a wheel of just Europe or the Americas?

Yes. Delete the countries you do not want from the list and the wheel shares itself out among those left.
