Random name picker wheel
Paste your list of names, spin the wheel and pick someone at random. Great for classrooms, groups and games.
How to pick a random name
The wheel comes with some sample names. Press "Paste a list of names", paste your list with one name per line (from a spreadsheet, a document or a chat) and the wheel is made with them. Press SPIN and the name under the pointer is the one picked.
Every name has the same chance. If someone should get more chances, for example because they bought more tickets, turn on weighted mode and raise their weight.
Turns and teams without repeats
With "Remove winner" turned on, every name that comes up leaves the wheel. Draw the full presentation order for a class, share out cleaning turns, build teams one pick at a time or decide who goes first without anyone coming up twice.
Ideas for using it
Teachers choosing who comes to the board, friends deciding who pays or drives, Secret Santa, work groups sharing out tasks or streamers picking someone from chat. Your list stays saved in your browser for next time.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paste a list from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Copy the column of names and paste it in the box: each row becomes an option.
How do I pick several names without repeats?
Turn on "Remove winner": each name that comes up is removed from the wheel.
Are the names I enter stored anywhere?
Only in your browser, so they are still there next time. They are not sent anywhere and no account is needed.
